FAQ
ask us
anything
How much does a roof repair or replacement cost?
Roofing repairs are significantly more affordable than a roof replacement, which may cost anywhere from few hundred to nearly ten-thousand dollars. The cost to repair or replace your roof depends on the type of roof you have, age of your roof, extent of damage, roofing materials you select, and more. Contact us for a free estimate!
How Long Does a Roofing Job Take?
Most roof repairs can be done quickly in a matter of hours. For a roof replacement, once we get the necessary approvals and begin working, jobs generally take 1-3 days. We strive to take residential roofing jobs from start to finish in 1 day.
What should you ask before hiring a roofing contractor?
Is your company licensed and insured? Are you certified by the shingle manufacturer? Is your company a BBB Accredited Business? Do you have references and reviews? Do you offer warranties on new roofs? For Clayton Hoover & Sons, the answer to all of these questions is YES and we’d be happy to share more information with you.
Will Property Be Damaged During a Roof Replacement?
We do our best to protect all of your property, including your landscaping. The Catch-All system acts like tarping to catch any falling debris and old roofing materials, directing them away from your siding and windows. Unlike tarping, The Catch-All is made to act as a light, durable, and breathable screen so it doesn’t scorch your landscaping. That being said, it’s always best to clear your patio, deck, and driveway before having a new roof installed.
The Process
Inspect
First, we come out and visually inspect the roof to provide an accurate estimate and see what other repairs may be needed.
Estimate
We'll meet with you to discuss the cost, necessary repairs, and best product options for your home or business.
Prep
We start by laying down our Catch-All system in order to prevent damage to the property and yard all while being more efficient during clean-up.
Removal
Next, we begin removing the existing roof materials. We also check for and repair any damages on the roof decking.
Roof
Finally, we lay underlayment, SwiftStart Sheets, asphalt shingles, and cap things off with ridge vents to protect your home for years to come.
