Our Founder
Clayton Hoover
In 1940, Clayton Hoover embarked on his journey in the home improvement industry, specializing in roofing. Six years later, at the age of 35, he established Clayton Hoover & Sons, a testament to his passion for serving others and his dedication to quality craftsmanship. With five sons joining him in the roofing business, Clayton instilled a culture of integrity and hard work that would shape the company for generations to come. Even after retiring at the age of 92, Clayton’s legacy of diligence and craftsmanship continued as he crafted birdhouses until he reached the remarkable age of 100.
Continuing the Legacy
James Hoover
James Hoover, Clayton’s son, shaped the family tradition of dedication and service. From a young age, James worked alongside his father, eventually taking the reins of Clayton Hoover & Sons at just 18 years old. Under his leadership, the company expanded its services beyond roofing and siding, becoming a local authority in gutter and window installation. For 61 years, James upheld the family legacy, fostering strong relationships within the community and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
Leading into the Future
Jonathan Rios
Jonathan Rios, the grandson of James Hoover, represents the fourth generation of Clayton Hoover & Sons. Growing up immersed in the business, Jonathan learned the trade from his grandfather, instilling in him a deep appreciation for quality and craftsmanship. In 2018, he assumed ownership of the company, expanding its services to encompass interior and exterior remodeling while upholding the same principles of excellence established by his predecessors.
